What our Chapter does in the local areas
Our fraternity has a long history of service and philanthropy, and although we have several large international charities that we are partnered with, we also like to help out local non-profit and service organizations. One of our chapter's favorites is the Washington Area Humane Society.
Our members like to go the WAHS and donate their time helping out however we can. From walking dogs to playing with cats, and even helping organize and stack dog food in the storage building. It is a worthwhile and extremely satisfying cause to donate our time and money to.
Every year at CalU we get involved with "The Big Event", which is a large organized community service event sponsored by CalU, and the actual service event is different each year.
The Pittsburgh Marathon is a huge event held every year in downtown Pittsburgh! Our chapter volunteers every year to pass out drinks to the runners as they pass by to help support them in their cause!
The Zeta-Omega Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon at California University of Pennsylvania was installed as a chapter on May 29, 1959.
Since 1899, Tau Kappa Epsilon has never had an exclusionary clause for membership. TKE does not judge men on their wealth, rank or honor, but instead on their personal worth and character.
Our mission is to "to aid men in their mental, moral, and social development for life." In essence, we build Better Men for a Better World.
